SOUTH CAROLINA FILM INCENTIVE BILL NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT
The good news: the House and Senate passed our Film Incentive bill.
∑ The bad news: the Governor will very likely veto this bill.
∑ Therefore it is VERY IMPORTANT all those supporting the bill and the film industry contact his office immediately to request that he please sign this bill. This would simply be restoring the ORIGINAL film incentive legislation in which he previously signed into place as well as relocation our Film Commission to the Parks, Recreation and Tourism department where it can be better served.
Our Legislative session ends Thursday June 5, 2008. If this bill sits on the Governors desk until the session ends it is dead as there is no time for his veto to be overridden.
