Thank you for your questions, To answer the first one,Some spirit people are grounded here on the earth plane because of many reasons but heres an example,i was incontact with a spirit man that lived infact in my own home, now He refused to leave and cross over due to the fact that He was searching for his wife who also was in my home but as they died at different times about five years in total, they although in the spirit plane missed each eachother each and every day,as there are many levels or dimensions in the spirit world,,,,,just like there are steps going up the stairs, He died on say the first step and the good lady died on say the second step, so even though they are both in spirit they kept missing each other all the time,until i managed to make him believe that i would get them both together so they could cross together,,,,, So what i'm saying is some spirit people wont cross over due to unfinished buiness or because they are afraid to due to say they didnt lead a nice life style and fear being judged for there actions in the living "They wont" or because simply they still think they are in the living still and have not realised they have left their physical body...
Now the spirit people who have crossed have the knowledge to return and visit when they pretty much feel like it, sometimes it could be a family member or friend who has come for a visit like they would when they was in the living,These spiritual people come when say your feeling down or in a troubled mind, they try to give suport when you most need it,,,, but in some cases it may not be a family member or infact anyone you know, it could be someone who once dwelled in your home or a certain property that still seem to have an attachment to this place and in their way of life still actually lives there like in the film (The Others) with Kicole kidman,where they really didnt know they was in spirit and the Ghostly noises they heard was actually the people living in the house at the moment, so theres a few ways of explaining how and why they stay or dont leave...And as for haunted locations you will get alot of spirit activity in places like big open grass lands and woodlands, places like that as it could of been a place where a battle could of taken place,,,, but something to remember is that almost every place and on every square inch of the world someone somwhere over the many years since the dawn of time has died on, so spirit activity will be about in some way or another... that is if the spirits of them places remain or just return to place they lived at or died upon.
