There are ways to learn aboout animals other than looking at animals in zoos. There are animal sanctuaries and animal parks. You write it's nice that you saw animals in zoos because as a result, you got the travel bug, but who benefitted from that? You are the only one who benefits from that, not the animals. They didn't get to travel. They did something for you. To think in this day and age that it's moral to keep animals confined to 1/1800 of their natural roaming area is insane. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- Replying to: Since childhood, zoos educated me and gave me the travel bug to see the countries where all the wonderful animals actually lived.
Zoos have taken responsibility to breed some animals that may not make it otherwise because of man. We may actually lose polar bears very soon.
If the boys did taunt Tatiana then I pray they are punished severely. It seems that tragedies are sometimes the only trigger of change. What a sad day for us all. |
