Hi Rosalind!
Well im pretty bored at work today, and stumbeled upon
this webpage by a mistake :) I was searching Google for offshore images...
I have lived in Saipan for a total of 7 years, right now my parents are down there to fix the house and make it ready for their retirement. My mom is from Saipan and my dad is from Norway.. I live in Norway now working as a webdesigner. I was born and raised in Norway.
Staying in Saipan from i was 16 - 23 I must say was a great experience, and coming from Norway, which is in fact the richest country in the world and voted the best place to live in the world 5 years in a row now, the reason for bringing all these facts up about Norway is so I can make a good comparison to both these places if in fact Saipan is as bad as you've heard it is.
My father cant get enough of Saipan, he loves the place, I have never experienced any racism down there, but that doesent mean it doesent excist... It happens all over the world (Even here in Norway) If Saipan is as bas as you've heard I really think my dad would not ever consider his retirement down there.. I'm also going to Saipan next year for a 2 month vacation and I can hardly wait to relax at the beach, soaking up the sun :)
All in all, comming from the welthiest country in the world. I can without having any second thoughts recommend Saipan for you!! In comparison I think USA is muh worse :(
Were still trying to figure out what the hell people were thinking when they voted Bush for a second term in office!! And the school system and poverty rate in USA is pretty bad compared to most of Europe...
