Tech Hint- primer tube filler
One of the few irritants I find with my Dillon reloader is the few minutes it takes to load the primer pick up tube. It is just tedious compared to the rest of the process. Dillon offers a vibrating primer filler for about $260. I came across a neat alternative from Frankford Arsenal. It is a vibrating primer tube filler. It operates on a battery, is hand held and for the last 6 months has worked like a charm for me. Available from Midway for about $33.00. Product number 656-090. The product data says it works for Dillon, RCBS and Hornady progressive presses. I can vouch for the Dillon. Thought some of you all might find that helpful. Jeff |

Thanks Jeff!!! That's a great idea...It seems to take forever to load up 3 tubes...slows down the reloading process!!!! Klaus |

Yeah Jeff, it does work real well. I used one at Donnie's house and am getting one soon for myself. I knew about it for a long time but was a little scared about vibrating primers and possibly getting primer dust accumulated. Donnie has been using this thing for at least a year I think so I guess it's OK. It CERTAINLY is less tedious and faster.

Dito on all posts. I've been using one for 'bout 6 months now and it is pretty slick. Works good for a quick neck massage too!!! |
