Hagstrom - Cult Guitars - A UK based Appreciation!

Questions and Answers (hopefully) about the great Hagstrom Guitar brand.

KEEP IT RELEVANT, CLEAN AND FRIENDLY, ALSO PLEASE DON'T SIMPLY USE THE SITE TO ADVERTISE APART FROM SELLING SPECIFIC RELATED GEAR. (SADLY, OFFENDERS MAY HAVE TO BE BLOCKED) - apart from all that - Have fun!

UK Hagstrom Convention / Event (UPDATED)

How do you fancy an event in the UK for a Hagstrom convention / event / even a concert maybe, simply to enjoy the Swedish classic brand Hagstrom?

Would you...
...enjoy seeing presentations of the classic brand, rare memorabilia and rare guitars!
...bring your guitar or even your collection for exhibition?
...enjoy or want to take part in some live demo's or a concert?
...stay over somewhere for a party if we organised special rates?
...enjoy getting some Swedish live music in there too?

Do you have a band that used (or uses) Hagstrom?
Did you have a record out where you used a Hagstrom?
..."Respect yourself..."
..."Ground Control to maj...." OK maybe expecting too much - but you never know!
..."Peace Train..." to the Hagstrom UK Festival maybe!

There's so much UK potential, a chance to meet up, so pass the message on, and within reason - just let us know!

email us on:

ukconvention@hagstrom.org.uk

(cut and paste to use) - THIS IS AN UPDATED ADDRESS

or simply leave a message here... we'll check the feedback, and let you know sometime in the future!

If we do it, there should be plenty of notice...

ALSO: Don't forget the Alvdalen festival 1-3 June 2007... see homepage of the website for more (and links).

Re: UK Hagstrom Convention / Event (UPDATED)

I'd be interested in a gathering for the acoustic Hags - to compare my 3 J45 pegbridge setnecks with others.

Even though I've sold my Hag 12 string acoustic, I'd still be interested in comparisons with other Hag 12 acoustics.

Incidentally, there was a video of "Ground control to Major Tom" on YouTube, and it showed Bowie playing an undistinguished 6-string not a BJ33 (BJ12) and a friend of mine who is very into the period swore to me that it was the same audio recording as the hit single version - but I didn't think it was. That sort of thing would be interesting to canvass.

I am categorically NOT interested in Scandiwegian music, not even Norse death metal.

Re: UK Hagstrom Convention / Event (UPDATED)

Watched it (and a range more). I liked the sound of the SuperSwede on the Guns'n'Roses tribute best. Not keen on the experimental transistor distortion from the Abba special amp....

Maybe the ideal might be the SuperSwede through a Fender Bassman 135 (lead/bass) head and a Laney cab with Eminence Private Jacks in....

Oh, by the way, I've got a mate's Fender head on ebay starting this afternoon. Wonderful head. You should bid on it!
