Hagstrom H-11 and H-22 folk guitar

Hey Folks,
I just purchased a beautiful H-11 in amazing condition with serial #74392. I also have a H-22 with serial #84632. Does anybody know what year they were made? I tried to buy the Hagstrom book but the site is not working.
Thanks a million,
David Rose

Re: Hagstrom H-11 and H-22 folk guitar

More info about my guitars:

The H-11 has 18 frets and the H-22 has 21 frets. Neither guitar has dot inlays on the fret board and they are both natural in colour.

In all of the hagstrom catalouges I've seen, The H-22 was finished in sunburst. In the 66' catalouge, The H-11 has 18 frets and dot inlays, and in the 68' catalouge, it has 21 frets. Now I am totally confused. Can somebody please help me?

Re: Hagstrom H-11 and H-22 folk guitar

Hi Dave
The guitars are both made in 1966, the H-11 in the 1st half, the H-22 in the 2nd.
The Hagstrom book would not have helped you since it covers the electric guitars and basses only.
The Hagstrom acoustics were built by the Bjärton factory.
There is a nice appreciation website at www.bjarton.com

I have noticed the same thing as you about the different numbers of frets and am equally confused. So I can't offer any explanation to that mystery...

Best regards!

Re: Hagstrom H-11 and H-22 folk guitar

Thanks so much Klas,
I really appreciate you taking the time to look at my posting and help me out. Maybe someone else can help us figure out the fret mystery.
Cheers,
