Hagstrom Viking (reissue) truss rod adjustment

I just recently purchased a Viking reissue (and I should add it is a great guitar!). It plays quite well, but I feel like it could play even better with a little setting up... I gather the truss rod is a special kind (H-expander). Do I still adjust it the normal way at the headstock? I tried some allen wrenches and none of them fit. from looking at it I can't even tell if it takes an allen wrench (hex key) or not actually. Does it take an allen wrench and if so what size? if not, how do I adjust it?
Thanks,
Robin

Hagstrom use to use metric allen keys/wrenches in their vintage guitars.

Yes the adjustment should be under the decal on the headstock.

I have not seen the modern truss rod assembly model apart from an x-ray of the custom made SuperSwede presented to Karl Erik Senior - which had broken inside the neck!

I may well be wrong, but there may have to be an amendment to incorporate 'modern' sizes into the original idea which used a 3mm allen key/wrench. This size is smaller than other brands, but perfectly suitable with a quality steel wrench.

Glad you like the Viking, how does it compare to an original in your opinion?
