Hagstrom ID, repair info

Hi - I'm trying to get more info on my Hagstrom. This guitar was given to me by my father who originally bought it sometime in the '60s. It looks a lot like the guitar a lot of people on the site are referring to as the Elvis guitar, except that it is not trimmed in gold. Take a look at some photos here:

The serial number is 712129. Any info you could pass along would be appreciated (model, date). Also, the guitar is in pretty good shape, I've been playing it for years, however, it is starting to show it's age. Particularly the knobs and controls thereunder aren't in too good of shape. Would a local repair shop be able to make the necessary fixes to keep this great guitar in shape? Or does anyone know of a good repair shop not too far from Albany, NY?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
