year check on an old Hagstrom Swede
was wondering if anyone could help me.. I have a Hagstrom Swede with the serial number # 873133 anyone know what year it was made?? thanks, AGK |

cool thanks for the info... it just got delivered today, I use to have one back in the 70's and I gotta say they are awesome guitars (but then you all know that already)!! I'll post some pics once its cleaned and setup  AGK |

Hello. My Hagstrom Swede have serial number 868120. What year was this made? Is there any system in the serial number that tells the year of production? I have heard about a Hagstrom book that tells all about serial number and models - where can I buy this book? |

I'm a little confused....so is it 250 made that year (1973) or 300?? there are two different amounts mentioned on the same year? |

I double checked for ya, and the Blue book says it ran 250 that year. 73-74 they ran a lot of 300 |

here are a few pics of my '73... unfortunatly it doesn't have the original Van Ghent tuners but instead has Grover Imperials (so if anyone should happen to have a set of Van Ghent tuners for sale please let me know) another issue is a few spots of milkyness in the finish and the neck pickup cover looks a little off to me (I'll post some closer pics of that later)      one with the flash on, one without
