lml 150 reed valve engine
hi i have just brought a lml 150 5 port reed valve engine brand new to replace my 125 engine in my 06 lml star dlx . i have a sterling stainless sports exhaust and was going to put it on my new 150 engine just wondering what jetting and carb settings and air filter stuff i should do. any advice welcome thanks lee. |

Lee, no experience myself of sterling pipes and of course pipe is critical to carb setup. anyone else used a sterlign pipe on 5 port top end? good luck. eddy |

the sterling pipe is nearly the same as a scorpion pipe .or is that still no use to you. |

not keen on scorpion. you need to rag it to get a power band. you are so much better off with a simonini. not the best made pipe in the world and diff to fit but good sweet spot. also at £65 not the end of the world when it falls to pieces every three years. good luck. eddy |

Eddy, How do you rate the Sito Plus. I like the fact that they are a standard fit and they are of course a reasonable price. |

pretty good and well made. reasonable spread of power but not as good as a full length expansion chamber. simoninis on the other hand are difficult to fit, not made very well but offer a good power band in the right place. pitty they can't be morphed together. eddy |

Its the difficult to fit and not made very well that puts me off. I also like the idea of keeping my spare wheel where it is. Does the Simonini affect the wheel? Keith |

No cos the simonini exits on the engine side so doesnt affect the spare wheel, also the fit depends, somtimes they fit easy and sometimes they can be a real pain in the butt to fit! its a lottery! |
