I travelled down to London earlier this month from the Wirral to see Teseo at the Hackney Empire. What a great theatre for baroque opera. The perfromance was excellent & it was great to see & hear Derek Lee Ragin for the first time.
I think Teseo is unique in Handel's output full of short but challenging arias for orchestra & singers alike. The orchestra was superb & the singing memorable. More please! Bravo! |
