Your concert performance of Teseo, at Exeter, was beautiful and coould not have been improved upon. The music was of Handel's best. the singing wasof pure quality and the orchestra was magnificent.
Bridgetown, however,m was dire. It was as much as I could do to remain until the interval. Not only was the "opera" utterly corny and sentimental, but Bridgetown junior (I do not know which it was) failed to sing in tune, though deftly, but inadequately, obscured by (?)Buddug Verona James.
Please, please never inflict such rubbish on us again.
Yours faithfully,
R. M. Wilson. |
