I was very sad (& shocked) to read of Ed Whitlock's passing on Monday. He was an incredible (& humble) runner. No fancy shoes, no coach, no contracts, just pure love for the sport and always with a smile on his face!
Yes it was very sad. I agree that he was a humble soul and a true inspiration to all runners.
I never met him but I did see him at the Run for the Diamonds a few years ago.

Amazing man phenomenal runner.Met him at Diamonds. The 3rd person this year that I've known who wouldn't see a doctor tried 'natural cures ' for cancer and died soon afterwards
