Richmondville

Richmondville was reportedly destroyed in the great fires of 1871 and or 1881. It remains noted on most maps and there are road signs both north and south of it. However, except for the intersection of M-25 and Richmodville Road, nothing remains of the town. I recall as a child that there was a building on the corner perhaps once a dry goods store, but I believe it burned down in the 1960s. Is there any history or pictures available on Richmondville? Thanks,
Gary
