My brother tells me that the church was a Methodist church, it closed and its members transfered to the Elmer Methodist Church. Then another congregation took the church over, my brother says it was not a mainstream religion, he remembers someone told him the church was a little radical, what does that mean, he doesn't really know because he does not live in the neighborhood it was just some remarks that were made to him, so maybe it doesn't really apply. It then became a store.
