Nancy Jane (Beals) KOLTS/KOLTZ
Hi, I'm looking for death info. on my great-great-grandmother whose name I listed in the subject line. She was born in 1840 in Nova Scotia, Canada and married (in Michigan)a German immigrant who used several name variations. I've discovered his real name was Mathias Kaltz, but he later changed his surname to either Kolts or Koltz, and he went by Matthew. I have all the info. on him I need, thanks. I'm ONLY looking for the DEATH info. on Nancy. I think she died in Sanilac County between 1872-78. Her last child was born in Sanilac Cty. in 1872; her husband remarried in Nov. 1878; and Nancy is not on the 1880 U.S. Census. The last census on which she is listed is 1870. That is why I think she died between 1872 and 1878. There is a possibility she may have died in Lapeer (County?), but I think Sanilac is the strongest clue I have. Many thanks to anyone who can point me to her death certificate, death date, or where she is buried. I've been looking for a long time with no success.
