Not only do runners need to battle the course in the Striders trail runs, the battle with each other is tougher.

At this years Spring Trail Run only 33% of the runners received awards while the previous week at the Cherry Blossom Race, 70% of the runners did. There were no cake-walk awards, where runners get awards fro third out of three in their age groups.
