LOGLINE: Two modern-day University of Minnesota-Twin Cities students start their own sorority in order to reach out to other female UMN-Twin Cities students tired of being marginalized.
SYNOPSIS: A trying, invalidating end to a September day of classes leads University of Minnesota-Twin Cities students CINDERELLA "CINDY" LEWIS and HUCKLEMARY "HUCK" FOWLER to start their own sorority in order to reach out to other on-campus women students tired of being marginalized. Before long, the two dormmates' new Myriad House attracts TEN OTHER FOUNDING MEMBERS. The new sorority gets off to a solid start with a dinner exchange at a Minneapolis restaurant and the launch of a pet project...the restoration of a 1929 Ford Model A. Myriad also attracts a foe in NIKKI FOBBS, the residence hall director who locks Huck and Cindy out of their pad. The Myriad Twelve bounce back by accepting an offer to move into the school's present Student Coop house (providing Myriad stays intact)...but later, they find the Model A vandalized. To boost sinking morale, Cindy proposes a jam session...and almost loses fellow music major (and fellow Myriad) JOHANNA SHINGLEDECKER, who specializes in the classics. But Myriad's twelve founders stay together, jam together, auction off the repaired Model A, and become an official Greek house.
