An American scientist conducts experiments fusing plant DNA with human memory cells. He tries to sell the Chinese a bogus formula and is kidnapped. Chinese operatives break into his lab to get the real formula. The field of giant sunflowers attach, trying to preserve the notes on the experiment. A fire breaks out in the lab. Only the chosen flower survives to fuse with its creator.
