After a few weeks, in Afghanistan, patriotic fervor confronts reality for Sergeant Ben Reese and his partner, Zeke a Yellow Lab war dog when they face an intractable enemy and suffer massive, life-threatening injuries. Their objectives, getting the Hell out of Afghanistan, returning home intact, and living normal lives are reasonable but conflict between good and evil is not limited to Afghanistan.
