When a plane is weather diverted in the Rockies, passengers are taken through snow-covered mountains, to a place where people live beyond their years. Favored by the founder, a writer/lecturer struggles for answers, surrendering to his promise to help a colleague escape the seeming prison, an escape ending in disaster. He then risks his life repeatedly trying to return to his lost dream, the Pool of Infinite Reflections, and the prison of tranquility.
