1885 New York City: A young reporter for the New York Herald pitches a story to his publisher as they ride down Park Ave. He proposes to travel to Oklahoma Territory to write and in depth story about a town founded by ex-slaves, and populated with Chinese workers, Black Creek Natives and ex Black Creek slaves. Bodie is a town with a saloon and brothel run by a Chinese/Mexican madame and presided over by a female town Marshall. However when the young reporter reaches Bodie he is presented with with a serious and dangerous complication. Young boys in Bodie are disappearing and he is faced with the possibility a serial murderer is loose in the town. Just one more mystery in a town full of secrets that need to be unraveled.
