A Poem for Susan

A woman of substance passed away

twenty-eight years exactly to the day.

A woman of substance and talent so fine

that people who saw her would first stand in line

She'd spend less than sixty years on the earth,

but did not need that long to establish her worth;

a woman who kept refining her craft

till the world recognized her and nobody laughed.

Not poverty or others' jealousy ruled;

this woman made it alone and self-schooled.

We celebrate her life on the day of her passing;

the memory of this woman is everlasting.

Rest well, dear Susan,

you're in our hearts each day.

And as we live on,

you'll never be far away.

What a beautiful poem, Gloria...and tribute to THE LADY...

I'm sure she is with us in spirit this day and that she has

seen all of our thoughts, here on Ginger's wonderful site for

her.

I do believe that God let's those who are with him, see who

misses them and how much they were thought of while they were

here with us.

This is a truly lovely tirbute...and I'll be she is smiling

and pleased at your beautiful words for her.

LOL...to...ALL...who miss her so very much.

Errol
