A backwoods preacher finds his city-bred wife's adjustment to rural Georgia a difficult but not impossible task.
Ray, this is my mother's favorite. I had a copy made for her so that she could watch it whenever she wants. She always cries when she sees it. I suppose some would say it's hokey and corny but I find a lot of strength and truth in it when I watch it. Susan amazed me that she could go from the wicked Messalina to the soft and sweet country preacher's wife so
seemingly without effort. Of course, this just attests to her variety of skills as an actress.
