Ninety-two years ago today
a special woman came our way.
For those of us who weren't here then,
we couldn't know that what began
was a relationship with her that wouldn't end.

Though many years have come and gone,
the impressions she made were brilliant and long.
Even today in the movies we get,
the standards of acting that she had set
are there to remind us, lest we forget...

that she was a woman ahead of her time
whose mark, though made while still in her prime,
lasted for decades, and yes, even right now,
shows all women when, where and how
to make THEIR mark and not be cowed.

So, Susan, God bless you, in heaven above.
We will think of you always with thanks and with love.
Someday maybe we'll see you again.
And if we do, you'll be with friends
whose admiration for you will never end.
