It was just reported on CNN that the talented Rodger Williams has died at age 87. It did not say what he died
from...or just old age.

I have fond memories of Mr. Williams who I first met as a wide-eyed 19 year old in Salt Lake City, where I had dinner with him and my vocal tutors..Eugene and Virginia
Jelesnik. Mr. Jelesnik had his own tv show on in SLC and
brought many artists to the city to perform concerts. He
was a violinist and had a talent show on tv plus hosted
The Jerry Lewis Telethon each year.

Roger Williams was a very kind, wonderful human being and was very nice to this youngster, sharing dinner with
him at the famous Ciengrill Italian restaurant. I will always remember him as introducing me to that Italian ice desert that starts with an...'s'..(is it Spamolli?)

Little did I know...that within the year, I would also be on the Jerry Lewis Telethon with Mr. Williams
with me as vocalist.

My he be in God's arms...
