Dear Mother, it is the anniversary of the night when Sri Ramakrishna worshipped you as the Divine Mother of the Universe. Some say this was the time when the veil of forgetfulness was lifted and you became fully aware of your own Divine Motherhood.
However it came to be, you are now our Mother. A real Mother, you have assured us. Not just a Mother "in name only."
And we are your real childern. But our veil has not been completely removed. It falls down over us and we forget who we are and who you are. But we do not forget entirely!
Hence we come to the Courtyard....sometimes running in, breathless from a fast-paced world.....sometimes quietly, just to take refuge at your feet....and sometimes we may stay at the edge of the Courtyard, watching and trying to remember more than we do.
But always, Mother, we come in love...somehow knowing that you are our Mother and that we are your very own.
