May we all learn to live as Brother Lawrence. But alas, it is truly difficult. As Arjuna tells Krishna in the Gita, the mind is like the wind, impossible to tame. And Krishna agrees, yes, it does seem this is the situation. However, Krishna assures us, we can gain control of the mind through practice.
So we need not be discouraged. Each time we remember and apply the wonderful PRACTICE of Brother Lawrence, each time we manage to remember and serve the divine in our every action, however fleetingly, we are a step closer to the Goal.
