Once at Jayrambati a calf was crying in the compound of the Holy Mother's house in the early hours of the morning. It had been seperated from its dam, which was going to be milked. On hearing the cries of the calf, the Mother hurried towards it, saying, "Wait I shall untie you now"; So saying, she untied the calf.
The disciple was astonished to notice the very tender look on the Mother's face at that time. He found in her the very embodiment of compassion. Ah! Could we but cry to God like that calf! Certainly He would then release us from all worldly bondage.

Today is Ashtami, the eight day of Navratra. All ashtamis are days specific to the Divine Mother Navratra as we all are aware of are also special days for the Divine Mother so the Ashtami in Navratra is doubly significant for all children of the Divine Mother.
Jayanti, your incident from the Mother's life is what we all need. We need to seek and ask for help. It should come from within as if our life depended on it.
I have seen on multiple occasions in my life, when I have prayed sincerely the help has ALWAYS come.
May on this Ashtami, Mother bless us so that we may earnestly seek help as we move towards the Supreme Goal.
