Here is a brief 60 second Sound Clip of a song composed and recorded by the late John Lee Hooker (1917-2001), which poignantly chronicles an earlier disastrous flood in Mississippi, and reaffirms our absolute dependence upon the Almighty, during these times of great stress.
We can see that the wonderful 'spirit of generosity' of Americans
and people worldwide, is responding to the sufferings of those
displaced by Katrina. This is all in Mother's play.
Of course, when large numbers of displaced people descend upon
a town; having the benefit of federal financial support;
this will naturally result in competiton for jobs and housing.
