Reminiscences of The Holy Mother!!!

When Mother arrived at the holy feet of the Master at Dakshineswar, he kept her close to him, and with great care instructed her in spiritual matters, encouraging her and assisting her in every way. This, however, was after Master had attained nirvikalpa samadhi. Regarding that, Master had stated to us on several occasions, “The Mother who is in the Kali temple is the same Mother who dwells within this (pointing to his own body), and the very same Mother dwells by my side (as the Holy Mother).” We were not interested in ascertaining what prompted the Master to make such an assertion, nor did we make any attempt in that direction. All that we know is that Master made such an assertion. God Himself had assumed human form and incarnated as Sri Ramakrishna. It is beyond the power of people of limited understanding, as we are, to comprehend God’s motives. Nor did we ever feel the urge to do so.
