Re: SANTA BARBARA: A HOME OF THE HOLY MOTHER - 01

Dear Ankur,

On the full moon night of Holi I received your package at my door. I love all the books, but it is the DVD that is most special to me. Last night, I watched the DVD over and over and left the audio on while I fell asleep. I dreamt of India all night long.

The DVD is very, very special. Thank you ever so very much, from my heart.

Your friend and sister,
Rosemary

Re: SANTA BARBARA: A HOME OF THE HOLY MOTHER - 01

Dear and Respected Sister Rosemary,

I cannot explain what a gladdening of heart took place on reading your post and seeing the beautiful picture with the angel too, just before I left office for home late evening yesterday. My troubled mind actually felt an uplifting, healing influence, almost like a great blessing. Thank you.
I am preparing to go to a specialist doctor just now early in the morning. My mind has sort of buckled under pressure that I suppose has been a bit too much for me to bear, and I urgently need help. But God is kind, and it is He who has kept me going, and is looking after me. So I am going with a positive frame of mind, hoping and having faith that Good will accrue to me and all from a God who is Good.
Shall revert later. Thank you once again very much. I too loved the video and it was on seeing it repeatedly that the idea of sending it to you occurred to me. All Holy Mother's Wish. I am only sorry I could not send you a fresh copy, but instead sent the copy I had, and had viewed. I trust it has played satisfactorily. I have now got a fresh copy for myself from the New Delhi Ramakrishna ashrama. Oh! Jayrambati, the very air of it, Mother's birthplace, tasted sweet to me when I first visited in 1994. But I hear things have changed drastically since, of late. Then it was the same old village of huts and rustic environment as almost in Mother's time. Now buildings built by the Ramakrishna Mission for increasing visitors, monks, etc., have sprung up and altered the original rural landscape, so I hear. So it is with the India of today. It is changing drastically. New Delhi is almost like the West, the dark side highlighted. People have become crafty and business-minded and money wise everywhere. Perhaps only the Himalayan region to some extent, and the cut-off region of the seven sisters (the seven states of North-east India from where I hail) retains much of the simplicity and easy-going nature of earlier Indians. We from the North-east are indeed the brunt of jokes for our take-it-easy and slow going (lahe, lahe as they say in Assamese) attitude, perhaps nature made us so. There was and is to a great extent such plenty nature has bestowed in the North-east India in all respect that the people are good natured, good humoured, gentle, polite, and hospitable still, plus quite a bit lazy. So when you do come physically to India, remember you will get much much more than you imagine spiritually and otherwise in pockets and in individuals, but as a whole perhaps the India of your imagination will not match the India of reality today.

With loving wishes, dear Sister,

Yours,

Ankur

I hope things turned out well for you yesterday, Ankur. Hang in there. I have a rather long journey ahead of me today, so I must get going. I will try to check in later if hotel has a computer.

Thanks for everything.
