Reminiscences of The Holy Mother!!!
SWAMI GAURISWARANANDA - 16

Once Indu Babu met our headmaster, Prabodh Babu, at Jayrambati. Both enjoyed chatting with each other. A few days later Prabodh Babu wished to go over to Koalpara and stay there in order to spare Mother the trouble of entertaining too many guests. But Mother objected, “Why should you go to Koalpara, why not stay here? Just a little food, nothing more, it won’t be a strain on me. The two of you are getting on so well with each other! As long as Indu is here, you too stay here.” I was splitting firewood for cooking. When Prabodh Babu said, “Give me some,” and began to split wood, Mother herself came to the outer room and protested, “No, son, you don’t have to do it. Rammoy is accustomed to the work, let him do it. You are advanced in years, your hands will ache.” Master Mahashay remarked, “We are gentlemen! Disqualified! We don’t have the right to strain ourselves a little in order to serve Mother!”
