Reminiscences of The Holy Mother!!!

THE HOLY MOTHER : OUR ETERNAL HAVEN - 21
SISTER NIVEDITA

Sadananda tells me of a boy who was dying and the Mother ordered them to take him to the Ganges side. “What, am I going to die then?” he [the boy] said, when they told him. ‘The Mother orders it,” they answered evasively. ‘Of course,” he said at once, “My namaskar to Mother. I must obey. Let us go.” They then carried the bed out, and the Mother stood on her balcony and looked down on him – and all over his body Trigunatita was writing in Ganges-mud the name of Sri Ramakrishna and then of Krishna and other Gods – but he watched the finger moving and saw the words. “No” he said, “rub them all off but one – I have lived in that Name, and it is enough to die in.” (Swami Abhayananda (Bharat Maharaj) had heard from senior monks that the dying boy had said: “Erasing all other names write only one name – Sarada.” See Udbodhan, vol. 91, no. 12, Paush 1396 (BS), p. 752.)
