[It would not be out of place to reproduce here some extracts depicting the Sister’s outlook of reverence and love for the Mother, and also how Mother lovingly looked upon her.]
Almost everyday Sister Nivedita used to visit the Holy Mother and take the dust of her feet. On Sundays she would unfailingly come to clean the Mother’s room. Dusting the bed, sweeping the floor, wiping the glass panes of doors and windows with soap and water – with all these she would make every thing clean and shining. Nivedita had taken up this work as her paramount duty… She was so very alert for providing even the smallest convenience or comfort to the Mother. (Translated from SS – Shatarupe Sarada-, p. 147).
