Mother As I Saw Her – Swami Saradeshananda
The Mother’s Attitude towards Presents – 04

There is the instance of the Muslim ‘son’ of hers, Amjad by name, who was suspected to be a dacoit. He was very poor, and as he could not make both ends meet, he had recourse to robbery to supplement his income. He was engaged along with others as a day labourer in some construction work at the Mother’s village house at Jayrambati. A taste of Mother’s affection changed the man, and he became a devotee of hers. Even after his work was over, and he was discharged with the others, he used to come to the Mother now and then, and he received the same cordial and loving welcome from her as her other children.
