Mother As I Saw Her – Swami Saradeshananda
The Uniqueness of the Mother’s Way of Initiation – 03

The very form of the Mother was the quintessence of sweetness and grace. There simply was no outer show in anything she did. Just as she would give her child a toy, or would bathe him, clothe him or feed him, she would give initiation to him. It was a simple affair. “The Mother teaches her son the name by which to call on God; how to meditate on Him; who He is; what His relationship is” – this was all there was in her initiation. Only those who have actually seen or experienced the unique way the Mother gave initiation, can understand the truth of this.
