Mother As I Saw Her – Swami Saradeshananda
Cases of the Mother giving Initiation without any Formalities – 03

A certain sickly son had come from a far off land to the Mother on the birthday anniversary of the Master and begged to be initiated by her. At once the Mother blessed him by initiating him, in spite of severe objections from others. Ordinarily the Mother would not initiate anybody on the Master’s birthday anniversary; besides, she was not then keeping good health, too. That was why they all voiced their objection. The Mother said, explaining her action, “How much trouble he has taken to come from such a distant place even when his health is so bad! Who knows what will happen in the future? So I did not disappoint hum but gave him initiation this very day. Through the Master’s wish, the desire of his heart has been fulfilled.”
