Mother As I Saw Her – Swami Saradeshananda
Sarada the gladdener of the Mukherji Family – 5

How, after the attainment of her youth, she came to Dakshineswat and again got the touch of the infinite love of Sri Ramakrishna Deva, a love that was completely devoid of the call of the flesh; how, he worshipped her as the very Goddess of the Universe, Shodasi Devi Herself, and revealed through her the Motherhood of God; and how, being attracted by her motherly love, innumerable men and women started running to her, calling her ‘Mother, Mother’ to get themselves inundated by that love – are all matters now well-known to all. We also know how, on hearing from her the simple little statement, “Father, I am your daughter Sarada”, the fierce dacoit actually took her as his own daughter.

Sri Ramakrishna saw Sara Devi as the very Mother of the universe. “The Mother who is in the Temple, is the one who gave birth to this body and now living at the Nahabat. She is again the one who is massaging my feet now. I do actually see you always as the blissful Mother herself.” These were the words by which he conveyed his estimate of her.

All these are incidents too familiar to require repetition.
