October 15 to 19 -- The First Parliament of the World's Religions to be STREAMED Online !
As some of you know, the Parliament of the World's Religions in Salt Lake City happens this coming week. The theme is "Reclaiming the Heart of Our Humanity", with focus on such timely concerns as: Climate Change; Hate Speech, War, and Violence; Human Rights and the Dignity of Women; Income Inequality; Emerging Leaders; and Indigenous Peoples.
I had planned to attend in person, but had to cancel. So I was so happy to receive this announcement from the Council for a Parliament of the World's religions:
"Join us for the First Live Streaming Parliament! All Parliament plenaries, opening and closing as well as up to 100 major programs will be streamed live. Pre-registration is required. Do forward this information to those who will not be able to attend the Parliament."
In the spirit of and with the undoubted blessing of Swami Vivekananda, this is an opportunity to experience breadth and scope of spirituality in celebration of cultural diversity and human potential. I was at the second Parliament in 1993. It was awesome!
