Her direct meeting with Sri Ramakrishna at once convinced Sarada of the falseness of the villagers’ gossip about his insanity. Whatever slight misgiving might have cast a shadow upon her mind on account of persistent rumours was dissipated during that first visit. She found him as kindly, loving and tender as before, if not more so. In no time she found out what her present duties were, and devoted herself completely to the service of her husband and her mother-in-law. Her father, impressed by his son-on-law’s thoughtfulness and assured of Sarada’s happiness at Dakshineswar, left for Jayarambati with a cheerful mind.
