Shyamasundari, deep in her heart, felt an anguish for her daughter. Often she said: ‘I have married my daughter to such a madman that she will never know the happiness of a householder’s life. She will not have any children and feel the joy of being addressed as “Mother”,’ Sri Ramakrishna once heard these words and said: ‘Mother, please do not worry about that. Your daughter will have so many children that her ears will burn from her constantly being called “Mother”., It will be seen later how literally this prophecy was fulfilled.
