How well she fulfilled the demands of motherhood! Once an insane woman acted immodestly before Sri Ramakrishna, who became angry and scolded her sharply. Sarada Devi, when she learnt of it, said to Golap-Ma in a distressed voice: ‘See what he has done. If the girl acted foolishly, why didn’t he send her to me? Why did he scold her?’ Then she sent for the woman and said to her: ‘My child, if he is annoyed by your presence, don’t go to him. Why don’t you come to me?’
