In Puri Holy Mother showed the utmost humility. When the priest suggested a palanquin to carry her to the temple from her home, she said: ‘No, you go ahead and show me the way. I shall follow you, walking behind like a helpless beggar.’ One day in the temple she saw hundreds of devotees worshipping the Lord Krishna and remarked with tears in her eyes: ‘Ah, isn’t it wonderful that all these people will attain liberation!’ A moment later it was revealed to her that only one or two, those who were without desire, would be liberated.
