My mother, Margaret Cothran, died this week. She had bone cancer. I don't know how many of you had her as your third grade teacher. She was an amazing & strong woman. She will leave a big hole in the Trona and Ridgecrest areas. My sisters, Helen Cothran and Ann Pritchard (Nennig), and I were overwhelmed by the number of people that called or visited to tell us how much she had impacted their lives. She loved children and we will miss her very much. We have scheduled a Celebration of Life ceremony at the Carriage Inn in Ridgecrest on Saturday, April 22nd, and invite all who cared for her to attend.
