Help in a PB-24-G restoration

I've been given the guitar I used to record with 25 years ago as a birthday present but it's a little the worse for wear. I'm pretty sure it's a PB-24-G from the pictures on the site and it's got the Futurama II deluxe machinehead decal. Would like to know if anyone restores them or where parts may be acquired. It works but the strings pop out of the bridge which ain't much fun. There's no tremolo arm and the pu nearest the bridge is held on with tape. I'd like to clean the switches but WD40 harm the plastic front? Oh and the fascia is broken down by the jackplug input. Don't know much about guitars and can't play 'em either but that never stopped me. It's got an action that makes me think I can play and those who can call it beautiful. I love it! Can anyone help?

Found a number on the plate on the back: 527884 if that's any help.

Re: Help in a PB-24-G restoration

It's a Kent PB-24-G built in 1962.
If you want to restore, check Ebay.
I would NOT use WD30 on the switches.

For cleaning the switches check this site:

Re: Help in a PB-24-G restoration

Thanks for that Benjamin. After looking at the site you recommended I'm glad of my natural caution for once. Looks like that site will be a great help. Thanks again.
