Fretless bass

Happy new Year to everyone.

My question is, did Hagstrom ever made fretless basses.
If yes, did they use the standard fretboard with slots for the fretted basse and filled it with Epoxy or simiar?

What's the swedish translation for fretless bass.

Thanks for any answer.

Benjamin

Re: Fretless bass

Happy New Year to you Benjamin

Yes I have a great Fretless Scanbass with ebony all the way from tip to toe... No sign of fretlines - it would kind of spoil the view somehow... There are inlaid side markers on the neck.

I have come across owners who have taken frets off and filled them on a couple of standard H series bass models but none purposely produced like it as far as I know.

Cheers,
David
