i love the site, as i was looking for more information on my guitar, which i recieved from my stepfather as a gift many years ago. It is a sunburst and in mint condition. The serial number is 715261 and i wondered if anyone could help me with a year and a possible pricing, as id like to insure it. Thank you so much for your help~

Hi Teree,

The unit numbered 715261 is from series 715-, it is a Hagström Viking and manufactured in 1967 in a total of 1001 units. This one is number 261.

If the guitar is in mint condition and has an original case, then the value is between $600-800 US.

thank you so much for the speedy reply! it is nice to know for sure the year and type..i wasnt sure if it was a viking l or a viking ll although i wonder what the difference is between the two?
i do not have the original case for mine, but there are no signs of checking on the finish, so i must be doing something right. thanks again~!
