Help with Hagstrom II case

Hello all, I have a vintage 1967 Hagstrom II that I bought from a music shop a year ago and it came with one of these.

It's definitely not a bad case, but it just DOESN'T fit! :/ The Hag moves around all kinds in there and quite frankly, it doesn't make me feel good to hear and feel my guitar wiggling around when I'm driving my car. It's taken me a while to get some money together and now that I've got some, I'd like to know if a Hagstrom C-50 case would do the trick.

It's the one that's designed for the f200/300 andXL2/5. Thing I wanna know is, are the F series guitars and the classic II/II guitars the same dimensions? I'm looking for a case that fits like a glove and I'm also a little concerned about the case not putting too much pressure on the trem bar, which is partly why I've kept it in that other case for so long. Any help from you all would be much appreciated. I wanna make sure my Hag is around for another 40 years.

Re: Help with Hagstrom II case

Seli,
I've had my Impala for 47 years now. Bought it new in '65. What I have done when "casing " it, is loosen the trem screw slightly and pivot the trem arm to it's lowest position and you don't have any worries about case pressure on the arm. Takes a second to repo when it comes out of the case.

Re: Help with Hagstrom II case

I have my '65 HII in one of those cases. It's the one with the F style headstock, so it nearly touches the edge of the case, but fits like a glove seeing as it's cut for the F200/300 guitars.
Just take the trem bar off when storing it, no pressure there
